Project Description

The existing Gardeners Compound had become obsolete and identified for demolition as part of a larger master planning within the immediate campus area. Extensive demolition, site clearing and landscaping works took place prior to the completion of new half basketball and netball courts, concrete seating, unisex PWD toilets integrated into study logia structure and recreational areas with built in BBQ.

Project Benefit

The fundamental project benefits the UQ Residents Green Project will provide, is supporting the new 610 bed student accommodation project to the corner of Hood and Walcott Streets, providing valuable green space and outdoor entertainment, sport and recreation facilities.

Pace Project Group staff provided procurement management advice, client representation and contract superintendency services to ensure the project was successfully delivered on budget and UQ’s quality standards.
